Born and raised in Japan, Anri obtained her BA in the US and MA in Austria. She is keen to analyze and articulate cultural nuances from an insider perspective, grounded in her experience of living and studying in Japan for 18 years through high school.

Prior to joining Yuzu, Anri was conducting research on Japanese masculinity at Central European University as an Austrian-Japanese government scholarship recipient. Throughout her studies, she has been interested in anthropology, gender, and pop culture in Japan.

She likes spending her free time singing and exploring new music.
