Hikaru is a communications expert and Yuzu Kyodai’s Japanese creative writer. After working for an advertising agency and a company responsible for events by international artists, he expanded his career as a creative director and copywriter.

Markus is an expert in innovation management. He spent the first five years of his career on the editorial side of The Economist’s business intelligence unit. Subsequently, Markus took up the role of Researcher at Japan Innovation Network, an accelerator for large Japanese companies.

Sven is a semiotics and branding expert. He has extensive experience across Asia in the fields of advertising and insight, beginning with his time as Associate Director and head of the Semiotic Practice at Flamingo Tokyo, a market research and brand consultancy.

David has long been associated with Yuzu Kyodai on the technology side, and in 2019 became its Director of Strategy & Innovation. First at Ernst & Young and then in Deloitte’s financial advisory and forensic services practice, he helped to strengthen their data analytics teams.

Scott hails from Singapore, and has always been fascinated by people, media, and culture. At university he studied Communication Research and Psychology, eventually finding his way into the world of brand consultancy.
